When we talk about Ferrari, we talk about something else, speed. And to the delight of all the speed loving fans, the brand has revealed photos and details of its fastest ever road going Ferrari: 599 GTO.
Ferrari 599 GTO will debut at the Beijing Auto Show (25th April – May 2nd 2010) and is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine that generates massive 670hp and 457 pound-feet of torque.
The 599 GTO’s engine is mated to a six speed sequential speed gear box and has a top speed of more than 208mph. The car is capable to achieve 0-60mph print in less than 3.35 seconds.
Based heavily on Ferrari 599XX, the 599 GTO is built with a goal to reduce weight and with the extensive use of composites and components manufactured with technologies more similar to racing specifications, the 599 GTO has a curb weight of 3,538 pounds.
On the other, 599GTO features Magneto-rheological Supension Control, carbon-ceramic brakes and wheel doughnuts to enhance the aerodynamic efficiency as well as improve brake cooling. Also, Ferrari 599 GTO has wider front super sport tires developed by Michelin for better grip on the road.
Ferrari 599 GTO will be a limited edition and only 599 units will be made with prices reaching close to $500,000.
