Be it Ferrari, Lamborghini or anything Aston Martin, there always remains a scope for improvement and Nissan R35 GTR is no exception. That’s what a Nissan R35 GTR owner from New Zealand realized when sent his 1725 kg car to an Ohio based tuner, Switzer Performance, to make it more track friendly.
On the request of the owner who wanted his car to be more powerful with less weight, Switzer installed P800 power kit, which includes new intercoolers, intakes and turbochargers thus enhancing the power to 800hp (300hp more than the original version)and 700 lb-ft of torque.
Also, the other components included to increase performance include an adjustable JRZ suspension system, tighter adjustable sway-bars, a diffuser for the undercarriage and an active wing provided by Aeromotions.
In order to reduce the weight, the tuner reduced the un-sprung mass of the brakes and replaced it with AP carbon rotors, new pads, and stainless steel brake lines. The weight was further reduced with the use of a dry-carbon deck-lid, and lightweight Bride sports seats.
