Winters are the most horrible thing in Russia (or in most of the European countries), where you see ice and only ice, heaps of them around and no piece of land at all. Being confined to house, it’s boring too. And then comes the spring, but that too isn’t without big snow lairs that need to be put off. In order to do that, they need big machines like the one pictured above. This ice saw machine is pictured in Arkhangelsk city, the port on the White Sea. The monster chainsaw is in use to help the river Dvina to crack its ice open.
